
James Brown Jr. is a 30-plus-year veteran of the cable and media industry. He most recently served in a senior leadership role at REVOLT Media and TV, where he led efforts to expand global content distribution across traditional cable systems, broadcast networks, syndication, AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, and emerging digital platforms worldwide.
Prior to REVOLT, Mr. Brown spent the majority of his career at Disney and ESPN, serving in a variety of executive leadership roles. Most recently at ESPN, he was Senior Vice President of Multicultural Content Development. In that role, he oversaw strategic initiatives to expand diverse programming across television and digital platforms.
During his tenure at ESPN, Mr. Brown also held general management responsibility for ESPN High School and ESPN Woman events, television, and digital video businesses. He led the development and implementation of the acquisition strategy that formed ESPN's high school business unit, successfully acquiring and integrating four businesses into a single cohesive operating structure.
Earlier in his career, he spent many years on Disney and ESPN's Affiliate team, culminating in his role as Senior Vice President of U.S. and Caribbean Field Sales, where he led distribution strategy and partner relationships across major cable markets.
Mr. Brown is also Co-Owner and Co-Founder of ALFA Worldwide LTD, an online custom-tailoring company, where he leads marketing and business development initiatives.
He currently serves on the boards of the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and Sophie's Voice Foundation.
At Story House, Mr. Brown brings decades of experience in distribution strategy, media partnerships, executive leadership, and platform expansion to support long-term growth across studio infrastructure and media production.
